Obituary of MARJORY MCINTOSH
MARJORY (BUNNY) MCINTOSH
(nee Kowal)
March 6, 1928 – September 4, 2025
It is with sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful Mom Marjory (Bunny) McIntosh on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at River East Personal Care home at the age of 97 years.
Marjory was predeceased by her parents Stanley and Lillian Kowal; her husband Allan and brother Edward (Frances).
Marjory is lovingly remembered by her children, Gerri, Marilyn, Brad (Sheila), Howard (Wanda), Wayne (Charlene); grand children Emily, Ashley (George), Bryan (Katherine), Sarah (Patrick), Matthew, Derek (Brittany), Katherine, Breyden, Madison; great-grand children Bradley, Remi; her loving sister Eleanor (Ted) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom was born and raised on a farm in Oak Bank, MB, the oldest of three, setting the stage for her warm and caring heart. She taught at a one room school house in her early years and ran a kindergarten in her home after her marriage before settling into her career as a school secretary in Transcona.
Mom met Allan McIntosh, they married in 1954 and settled in Transcona in 1960 raising 5 children. She dedicated herself to her family, friends and community. She was actively involved in her church, singing in the choir, volunteering and offering her time in a myriad of ways. She loved to gather, the more people and food the better. Always a smile and a big warm welcome to one and all from her huge hospitable heart. She loved people fore-most, music, singing, dance and travel. She will always be remembered for her love, kindness, compassion, fun and sweet nature. She was an absolute joy and a grounding, steadfast blessing in our lives. She loved with all her heart and will be missed forever.
Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at River East Personal Care Home for their tender care of our Mom.
