Anthony Donaldson

Peacefully, Anthony (Tony) Donaldson passed away on February 12, 2026 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 62.  Tony was predeceased by his father, Edmond Neville, his mother, Dorrit May, and his sisters Cherry and Paulette.  Tony is survived by his brothers and sisters, Dawn, Sonia, Calvin, Ronnie, Paul, Grace, Sandra, Peter and Dave.

Anthony was born in London England, and was raised in Winnipeg. As a child Tony attended John M. King Elementary school, and after attended Gordon Bell and Tech Voc High Schools. Tony went on to pursue a post-secondary education at the University of Manitoba where he studied art, history and English. 

Tony enjoyed high school sports and was on the basketball teams where he enjoyed playing basketball with his friends and teammates. 

As a young man Tony gave his life to the Lord, and was baptized at Bethel Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church. Tony loved the Lord, and loved reading and studying the bible.

Tony also was a very gifted painter and musician. He spent hours playing the accordion as his family enjoyed his music. Tony loved painting and blessed many with his paintings. Tony was also a wonderful photographer.

Tony's gentle and kind demeanor blessed everyone who knew him. Tony has passed into the arms of the Lord.  Rest in peace Tony.

The family wish to thank Dr. Stumpher, the surgeons, ICU nurses and staff, as well as the Palliative care doctors and staff of the St. Boniface Hospital. 

A private family viewing will be held on March 20th at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, from 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.followed by a private funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery 3001 Notre Dame Avenue.
