Obituary of OLGA MARIE HUMENIUK
Ollie Humeniuk
April 11, 1931 - February 18, 2026
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ollie Humeniuk on February 18, 2026 at Holy Family Home.
Ollie was predeceased by her parents Harry and Dokija Burdeny and brother John. She is lovingly remembered by her son Larry (Louise), grandson William (Marcy), two great-grandchildren, Braedon (Melissa) and Emma (Christian).
Born and raised in Sandy Lake, MB. Ollie cherished her happy years growing up on the farm and carried her deep love of nature and country life forever. Her greatest joys were her family, church, many friends, and hosting delicious dinners at her home, where she lived independently until 2024. She was a fabulous cook.
The family wishes to thank the staff on 4A at Holy Family Home for their care and kindness. A special thank you to Father Bohdan Lukie for his visits, friendship and spiritual care.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2V 0M6
If friends so desire, donations may be made in Ollie’s memory to the Bishop Velychkovsky Martyr’s Shrine at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Church or online at https://bvmartyrshrine.com/support-us/
