Obituary of Slava Mikasinovic (STIPETIC)
SLAVA MIKASINOVIC (STIPETIC)
April 9, 1920 - November 23, 2008
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing, after a long illness, of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother on Sunday at the age of 88.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Ljubica (Violet) Kasunic, her grandchildren Lidija Martins (Joe) and Michael Kasunic (Renata) and her great grandchildren Justin, Tatiana, Mikayla, and Maro.
She also leaves to mourn her passing her sister Milka in Australia, and many friends and extended family both in Croatia and in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Nikola Mikasinovic.
We are thankful she is no longer in pain, but is at peace in the arms of the Lord. We will miss you Baka Slavica.
The family would like to extend warm and heartfelt thanks to the staff on the Evergreen Unit at Fred Douglas Lodge.
Prayers will be held on Tuesday, November 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 26 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nikola Tavelic Croatian Church, 2688 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
