Well, it now feels about right to say a few words about my good friend "The Big O". Although we were friends at St. Johns High the great relationship Greg and I enjoyed really took off after high school. We both enjoyed playing and talking sports and sharing a few...ya right a few...beers. We were a couple blue collar guys who never took anything too serious. In todays high paced and stressed world it was always nice to get together with Greg and chill. He would always amaze me with his knowledge on subjects I thought he knew nothing about. He really was a smart "Hunkie". As the years continued, Greg and Irene became like family and will always be Uncle Greg and Auntie Irene to my girls. Miss you buddy

Greg will always be in our hearts and memories. Although there were many, Greg and I would always reflect on one especially great long-weekend we had fishing, boating and camping at Nutimik Lake in the Whiteshell. Relaxing on the water, and feasting on fresh Pickerel in front of the campfire - one of the best weekends ever, that we shared together, and relived many times over. I will miss his great sense of humour and sharing the fun times we had. With deepest sympathy. Stephen Woloschiniwsky

Irene, Firstly, let me convey my most heartfelt condolences on Greg's passing. He has left us far too early. I remember Greg, not only for the terrific football player he was but, moreso, for the type of person he was ...caring, loyal, his passion for everything near and dear to him. He was the first person to make me realize what special people there were in the North End and how fortunate I was to be teaching at St. John's. He remains, not only one of the best players I ever had the priviledge to coach but also, one of the best human beings I was fortunate enough to meet in my time in the North End. I think of those days from time to time with a great deal of fondness (I still use #33 on all my 649 tickets). Those early days spent with Greg and his teammates are, and will remain, among my most cherished memories. I am grateful for the time I got to share with Greg and wish you all the best as you continue on life's journey. Graham

Please accept my condolences on the loss of Greg. I first met Greg in 1966. I remember Greg with many fond memories of gatherings at his mom's house on Dufferin. We were all very young then. How innocent those times were! He will be missed.
