Obituary of Rachel Sacco
Rachel Hope Sacco
It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Rachel on Friday, November 21, 2008. She passed peacefully at the Children's Hospital after a sudden bout of pneumonia. At only 3 years of age, Rachel had already battled a rare brain tumor, seizures and severe disabilities.
We remember Rachel as a social little girl who perfected the art of balancing a mischievous, playful side with great affection, making her well-loved by everyone. She enjoyed swimming, climbing, making new friends and almost anything Dora.
Rachel is survived by her parents, Domenic and Lynette Sacco, sisters Elisa (5) and Madison (1) as well as numerous relatives and friends. Rachel is predeceased by her grandmother, Elisa Sacco.
A funeral service will be held for Rachel on Thursday, November 27 at 1:00 PM at Church of the Rock, 1397 Buffalo Place. Interment will follow in Thomson in the Park.
Rachel's pallbearers will be Joe Sacco (Godfather), Gino Sacco, Tony Sacco and Antonio Sacco.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Rachel's pediatrician, Dr. N. MacDonald, the doctors and nurses at the Children's Hospital and CancerCare who took excellent care of Rachel in the last 2 years, as well as the staff at St. Amant who loved and cared for Rachel the past 8 months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Amant, 440 River Rd., Winnipeg, MB, R2M 3Z9
