Obituary of ANNE KUBAS
In the early morning hours of Friday, November 18, 2016, Anne Kubas peacefully passed away at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.
She will be dearly missed by her sister Cecelia (Eddie), sisters-in-law Mary and Rose, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Anne was predeceased by her parents John and Minnie, brothers Peter, Mike, Allan, Myrs and her sister Mary.
Anne was always looking for a challenge and as a young lady moved on her own from the prairies to live in Toronto. Anne’s independence allowed her to have many adventures, from driving her yellow convertible Karmann Ghia across the country to travelling around the world. Anne enjoyed spending time with friends and family, lawn bowling and baking. She was employed by Shell Canada until her retirement. Anne did not have children of her own but was very generous and caring to her numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She remained independent living at her own home and still driving at the age of 93.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Michael’s Hospital Coronary Intensive Care for everything they did for Anne.
By Anne’s request, there will be no formal funeral service and a private family burial will take place in Broad Valley, Manitoba on Sunday, November 27, 2016.
