DENNIS KOLISH
Peacefully on Monday January 18th at 6:10pm, Dennis went to sleep forever at the age of 80 with his family by his side.
Dennis was born in Winnipeg on June 30, 1940. He attended David Thompson High (Elmwood). He was predeceased by his father Michael in 1993 and his mother Helen in 1975.
Dennis was employed with CNR for 37 years. He enjoyed keeping busy and being involved in many things-whether coaching at the community club or volunteering at the Pan-Am Games in Winnipeg.
In his retirement years, he spent his winters in Mesa Arizona where he volunteered for the Canadian Snowbird Association where he was awarded a plaque in recognition for all his hard work.
One of his favourite things to do was camping, fishing, playing guitar and singing around the campfire at first in Betula Lake and later at For All Campground before he retired.
Dennis leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Ann, son Norman (Donna) Daughter Barbara (Brent); grandchildren Hannah (Greg), Alex (Kiah), Joey (Brittany), Asia, and Olivia; and great-grandchildren Sumer, Daliah, Anders, Adelyn, Phoenyx and Archer, as well as nephews, nieces and many friends.
Special thanks to all the staff at Donwood Manor for the incredible care and support they provided.
Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life for Dennis will follow to be determined at a later date.
