Obituary of DORIS ROSALIE SLATER
Peacefully on February 4, 2024, with her Family by her side, Doris Rosalie Sennie, of Roseau River Anishanabe First Nation left this world to continue her Journey into the Spirit World at the age of 89. She is survived by her children, Donna (Scott), Darlene, Doloris, Darren (Jeff), Darryl (Sara), Duane (Karen) and Dean. Grandchildren, Dawn (Michael), Dallas and Renee and great grandchild William. Nieces, Cindy, Denise and Barb and numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her Parents Rosalie Sennie, George Joseph Nicholas. Her son Paul Dale, Her sister Victoria Sinclair, Brother's Edmond, Steve, and Frank. Her niece, Joan Nelson. Grandchildren, Destiny and Damien. Her longtime companion, Charles Stanley Flett.
Doris will be cherished and missed by her children and other family members. She had a kind spirit, was very caring, funny, and forgiving person and had a unique sense of humor.
The Family would to thank Grace Hospital and St. Boniface Hospital for caring and compassion for her during her sickness. The family would also like to thank the Staff and HCAs at Heritage Lodge Nursing Home for all their around the clock caring, kind words and compassion and patience while taking care of Doris during her last 2 years and her final battle of her lung cancer. We also want to thank CancerCare for their care and support and compassion. We really do appreciate everyone who knew my Mom during her years on this earth who loved and cherished her. Thank you to all the staff at Cropo Funeral Chapel.
The Celebration of Doris's life and viewing will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2 p.m.
