Obituary of KENNETH WILLIAM ELLIOTT
KENNETH WILLIAM "BILL" ELLIOTT
Kenneth William "Bill" Elliott, 78 years old of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2013 with family members at his side.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Pam, granddaughters Alyssa and Katie of Winnipeg and son Ken of Edmonton, AB as well as very dear friend of many years, Stella and her family (Mary, Zenon and Keenan). Bill also leaves to mourn his two sisters, Maxine Letourneau of Rosetown, SK and Verna Bull of Sanctuary, SK as well as various nieces and nephews.
Bill was a regular at the Norwood Legion and enjoyed playing pool with the boys up until his illness. Bill loved to read and spent many hours going to various libraries throughout the city searching for good books he hadn’t read yet. He liked to travel and went to Saskatchewan several times in the past few years to spend time with family and friends.
Bill considered himself to be a handyman and was always willing to help out wherever needed and never hesitated to take on a new project. Bill will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humour, which he showed right up until his passing.
The family would like to extend a big thank you to the nursing staff on 6E at the St. Boniface Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 3 at 3:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St.
