STANLEY LAMBERT ANDERSON
November 23, 1947 - December 8, 2011
Stanley passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, with love, and with family at his side.
Stanley was born November 23, in the Fannystelle area to Lambert and Madeline Anderson.
Stan is survived by brother David (Alice Mae), sister Ingrid (brother-in law Harold ,deceased), sister Tova (Ted) and brother Don ( June) and their families. He was Uncle Stan to Michael (Sharon) Lanteigne, Duval (Michelle) Link, Tyson (Kim) Hiebert, Michael (Rosalyn) Cole, Pamela (Eric) Spiropoulous; Patrick Hiebert, Holly (Greg) Storey and William Elliot. He was Great Uncle Stan to Daphne, Taylor, Laura, Milley, Kylie, Carman, Jack, David and "baby-in–waiting in Belgium".
Stan attended school in Fannystelle and Arden. Stan pursued a career at Chrysler Canada in Windsor, Ontario. Stan also worked for Metropolitan Security in Brandon and Winnipeg. Stan, lived In Arden, Brandon, Winnipeg, Morris and Courtenay, British Columbia, and it was his dream to return to British Columbia for his retirement years.
Stan loved collecting! He had quite a stamp and coin collection of which he was very proud. He loved his miniature John Deere collection, his comics and other collectibles. Stan was a member of the Philatelic Society Brandon, MB.
Stan had his difficulties in life, but he always made it through, those who loved him knew he was trying to remain strong after learning he had a fight and struggle ahead of him with his illness.
With special thanks to Nurse Usha, and the nursing staff, of GD5 of Health Sciences ·Centre, and Dr. Araneda, and Dr. Dowhanik. A very special thank you to Douglas Maughan of Cropo Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at Starbuck United Church on Tuesday, December 13 at 2 pm, with Rev. Cathy Maxwell officiating. Interment in Starbuck Cemetery.
Flowers graciously declined. Donations may be made to CancerCare, or a donation of one's choice.
