Obituary of RICHARD BOIVIN
RICHARD BOIVIN
On Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the age of 51 with his wife by his side, Richard lost his battle with cancer at the Riverview Health Centre.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Theresa and Wilfred Boivin, his sister Joan and brothers Wilfred and Brian.
Left to mourn are, his wife Carlene; step son Andrew and granddaughter Hazel. He also leaves behind, his twin brother Robert (Wendy), brother Wayne and sisters Sharon (Rene) Luder, Donna (Gary) Kisloski, nieces and nephews and many friends.
Richard had a great love for music with the Beatles being his absolute favorite. In the past year he took his love of playing darts further by joining 3 different dart leagues. He also had a love of hockey and football. It was his greatest pleasure to watch Andrew play football and grow up to become a CFL player, winning the Grey Cup in his first year. Spending time with his granddaughter gave him a great deal of joy. In the last days of his life it was very important to Richard, to make peace with family and friends.
We would like to thank the staff of Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit for all their care and support.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
