Obituary of MARIA KISIL
MARIA KISIL
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Babcia and Pra-Babcia, Maria Kisil on May 7th, 2013 surrounded by her devoted and caring family.
Maria was predeceased by her loving husband Jozef Kisil and brother Jozef Cebula.
She is survived by her loving daughters Lucy (Edward) and Giena, six grandchildren Tammy (Russell), Hugh, Samantha (Damien), Serina (Russell), Sherrie and Nick. She leaves to mourn nine great grandchildren, her sister Kasia and numerous nieces and nephews in Poland.
Mama was born in Poland on March 20, 1919. She met her husband Jozef after the war and was married in England. They immigrated to Canada to raise their family in Winnipeg.
Our mama was a kind and gentle lady who loved spending time with her family. She loved cooking, gardening, feeding the birds, mushroom picking, crocheting and telling stories about her life. She has left us with many beautiful memories that we will cherish forever.
Prayers will be said on Friday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m. in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery
Our family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital and Palliative Care for their support in caring for Babcia in her final days.
