Obituary of YVONNE (MÉMÈRE) MONDOR
YVONNE (MÉMÈRE) MONDOR
It is with profound sadness and loving memories that we announce the sudden passing of Yvonne on Sunday, June 2nd 20l3.
Yvonne was predeceased by her loving husband Emile and their son Marc Luc, as well as all of her siblings. She will be forever cherished and missed by her family; daughter Claudette Anderson (Derek), grandchildren Nicole Khanna (Vickas) and Mathew Anderson (Melissa), as well as daughter Jacqueline Baetsen (Joe), grandchildren Claudine Baetsen, Johann Joel Baetsen (Kristin) and Elise Humphries (Sean) along with her great-granddaughters Raina Baetsen and Veyda Khanna.
Yvonne was born in Starbuck, Manitoba. After marrying Emile in 1947, they moved to St. Boniface where she worked at The Bay downtown for 20 years. She continued to work part-time after retirement at Centre Taché.
Yvonne and Emile had an exceptional loving relationship. This foundation provided their daughters and grandchildren with endless love, attention and inspiration. Emile and Yvonne shared a passion for church, road trips, dancing, golf and most notably, family. Three weeks ago, she was in Truro (NS) celebrating her birthday and both her daughters’ 40th anniversary of marriage.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She dreamed of being reunited with her beloved Emile and in the presence of God, her wish was granted.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to her niece, Bella Kraska, and her friend Henri (Yvette) Lambert, for their friendship and support these last few years.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday. June 7th at 10:30 a.m. at the Saint-Boniface Cathedral; 190 ave de la Cathédrale.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
