KEN BERGEN
Ken was born on December 30, 1954 in Morris, Manitoba to Abe and Anne Bergen and he passed away on May 30 2013.
Ken is survived by his wife Irene, children Lois (Sergio), Daniel (Donna), Jennifer (Bob), Kevin (Desiree), Robert (Chantel) and step children Gordon (Sam), Colleen (Josh), and Peter. His grandchildren are Jeremy and Charles, sons of Daniel, Jeremy, son of Jennifer and Bob, Victoria and Elizabeth, daughters of Robert and Chantel. Ken is also survived by brothers, Melvin (Chris), Raymond, Stanley (Georgina), Harry (Joy) and sisters Carol and Brenda. Nieces include Melody, Angela, Shayla, Nicola, Marcie, Sandra, Jackie, Brittany, Shanley and Annalise. Nephews include Adrian, David, Joshua, his grand-nephews Nathan and Robert Charles. Ken has also left behind brothers-in-law, Daniel, Harold, and Neil and sisters-in-law, Delia and Mary.
He was predeceased by his grandson and granddaughter born to his daughter Lois and Sergio; Ken was predeceased by his mother in 2004 and his father in 2006.
Ken spent most of his life in the country, Morris, Carmen, Plum Coulee and loved everything about the outdoors and farming. He also loved driving Tractor Trailers and followed this vocation to support his family. His travels took him all over North America from Alaska to New Mexico. His favorite things to do were spending time with his family and singing.
There will be a celebration of his life on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Way, 450 Lilac Street, in Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House, or to Operation Smile.
