HELEN CAROLL EDWARDS
(Nee From)
On Sunday June 16, 2013, after a 5 year battle with cancer, family at her side, Caroll left this world of pain and suffering into the loving arms of Jesus her Saviour and Lord.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband Bob, son Blair, daughter Coreen and son-in-law Wally. Her siblings Sue (Art), Dorothy Ann, Robert (Marj), Lorne, Noreen, Dawn (Marion), Joy (Terry), Harman (Carol), Kendall, sister-in-law Gwen, Tracy and granddaughters Nicole and Shiva, many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her mother and father Lenore and Herman and one brother Earl.
Caroll was born in Spy Hill, Saskatchewan in 1943. Married in 1962 to the love of her life Bob Edwards. They were blessed with 2 children Blair and Coreen. The next 15 years Caroll remained home raising her family. Fulfilling a dream Caroll became an LPN working in Surgery at the Mall Medical. A new adventure began when Caroll became the owner, operator of Fellowship Book Center. This was her passion for the next 9 years until she retired. Caroll will be remembered for her compassionate heart, always ready to volunteer for different committees. Caroll was a talented seamstress, crafter and cook, but her greatest accomplishment was her daily example of a truly Godly woman.
The family would like to thank the Buhler Cancer Centre doctors and staff for their wonderful care. Thank-you also to the Palliative program that made it possible for Caroll to spend her final days at home with family.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Calvary Temple Red Rock Camp Retreat Center or CancerCare Manitoba.
A memorial service to celebrate Caroll's life will be held at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave St. on Saturday, June 22 at 11:00 AM.
A private family burial service has already been held.
