Obituary of MARY DELEY
MARY DELEY
Peacefully; on July 18, 2013; at the age of 93 years, Mary passed away in her sleep. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Anne and Anastasia (Bill), brothers Ted, John (Betty), Matt (Gloria); numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Bill (Mary), Peter (Ollie) and brother-in law Mark (Anne).
Mary was born in Stuartburn, MB and grew up in Dallas, MB. She moved to Winnipeg and worked as a seamstress and a waitress; and was able to retire at an early age. Mary was a Blue Bomber fan and spent many an evening watching her favorite team win (and sometimes lose). Early in life she suffered from congenital heart problems, but groundbreaking surgery at an early age enabled her to enjoy a long and healthy life.
The family would like to thank the staff at both Lions Manor and Kildonan Personal Care Centre, where Mary resided in her later years. A special thank you is also extended to Justina Kehler who spent many hours visiting with Mary.
A service to honour Mary’s life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street, on Thursday July 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street.
Per Mary’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
