Obituary of HANNAH GAUDET

HANNAH GAUDET (Nee Stone) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mum , Nana and Great Nana, Hannah Gaudet who passed away early Wednesday morning October 9, 2013 surrounded by the love of her son Ed, his wife Ruth, special nurse Paula and her other caregivers at the Vista Park Lodge in Winnipeg. She will be deeply missed by her son Ed (Ruth), daughter Jackie (Frank), grandchildren Teryl (Lonnie), Marcy (Marc),Jeff, Graham, Christie (Kyle), Gerard (Kristy), Joanna, David and Peter as well as great grandchildren Kyle, Aaron, Ryan, Carter, Jason, Haley, Bryce, Kaitlyn, Haley and new baby Kylie. Also mourning her loss are brother in law Ron and family and friends in England and many beloved friends and care givers from her home for the last years of her life at Vista Park Lodge. She is now reunited with her husband Jerry who passed away in 1989 and daughter Nancy who was also taken in 2003. She was predeceased by her dear sisters Jean, May and Violet. Hannah was born in Westham, England, on July 18, 1919 and met Jerry Gaudet during World War II in England where they fell in love. She was a member of the Land Army despite being a city girl and became a War Bride and returned to Canada with Dad after the war. She lived a full and eventful life and often said that her last years were full of beautiful, rich memories. She was devoted to her family, never forgetting a birthday or special event; she was loved by all who met her. Thank you to Marnie and Craig and Karen for your devotion to our Mum over all of these years. Rest in Peace Mum, you are finally free from all of your pain and can be with Dad and Nancy and sisters Jean, May and Violet. A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A private family interment will follow.
