Obituary of MIKE PARADOWSKY
MIKE PARADOWSKY
1948 – 2013
Peacefully, at St. Boniface Hospital, Mike Paradowsky lost his battle with cancer at the age of 65 on Tuesday, October 22, 2013.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife Simone (nee Rondeau) of 42 years; daughter Joanne (Mario) Girouard; grandchildren, Corinne, Janelle and Jamie; sisters, Livian Perron-Cyr, Sally Metropolyt and Anne Mielimaka and friend Henry; mother-in-law Emma Rondeau; brother-in-law Edgar (Janet) Rondeau; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Bronislaw and Barbara; three young sisters; five brothers-in-law; father-in-law Rene Rondeau and grandson Jeremie.
Mike was employed with the City of Winnipeg for forty-three years in forestry and parks departments. He played music with the Frazer River Boys since 1967 and looked forward to getting together with William and Alex Danylchuk and Harry Hawryshko who were more like brothers. Mike enjoyed camping, fishing and visiting with family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Prayers will be held on Sunday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 28 at 1:30 p.m. at Notre Dame De Lorette Roman Catholic Church, Lorette, MB. All close family and friends are considered honorary pallbearers.
A heartfelt thank-you to all the doctors and nurses who were a part of Mike’s life, especially those at Seven Oaks Oncology, Home Care, Respite and Palliative Care while at home and in the hospital.
Thank you for the visits and phone calls. Mike looked forward to seeing you and waits in peace for all to join him again.
