Obituary of ALISON ARMSTRONG
ALISON LEILA ARMSTRONG
February 8, 1959 – October 24, 2013
After a lengthy battle with cancer, Alison passed away at Jocelyn House. She was predeceased by her father Don and her mother (Thora) Margaret. Alison will be missed by her sister Charlene (Doug) Goodchild, niece Jackie (Justin), Gord and family, her Aunts, Uncles, cousins and her special friends.
Alison was born and raised in Winnipeg. She attended school in St. James and received a Business Certificate from RRCC. In the late 70’s, she moved to Denver. There she discovered Spiritualism which became an integral part of her life. After her return to Winnipeg, in the 80’s, she continued with her beliefs and was a member of the Centre for Spiritual Living. Alison’s greatest achievement was becoming a Registered Massage Therapist. She loved being self-employed and healing and helping people. She enjoyed going to Goldeye games, theatre, sewing and crocheting. She was an animal lover, providing a loving home to many dogs and cats.
Thank you to her friends and family for their love and support through this difficult time in Alison’s life. Also to the nurses and staff at Victoria Hospital Oncology and Jocelyn House.
