Obituary of ALICE DENEKA
ALICE DENEKA
It is with saddened hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Alice Deneka on October 26th, 2013.
Alice was born on September 14th, 1934 in Athabasca, Alberta.
She is survived by her beloved husband and soul mate of 57 years, Tanas (Dennis) Deneka, her brother Frank (Helen) Rojowski, brother-in-law Metro (Emily) Deneka, numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her parents Lukacz and Mary Rojowski, brothers Peter, Slavko and sister Stella. Brothers and sisters-in law; John (Georgina) Deneka, Katie (Peter) Lisowick.
In 1954 Alice and Tanas met at a Social Gathering in Winnipeg, dated and were married on October 27th, 1956. They were blessed with many happy years together, creating wonderful memories.
A special thank you to the devoted staff of The Grace Hospital in Winnipeg for the compassion bestowed upon Alice while she was in their care.
In Celebration of Her Life, a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 1st, 2013 at 2:00pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, Father Isidore Dziadyk, O.S.B.M. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
