Obituary of Heather BATHIE
HEATHER DOREEN BATHIE
With heavy hearts we said good-bye to our beloved sister and aunt. After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, she peacefully passed away at the young age of 58 on March 19, 2011. She is predeceased by her parents Douglas and Elsie Bathie.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother Bruce, sister-in-law Kelly, nephew Trevor, niece Brittany. Special thanks to Aunt Marion, Gail, Brooke as well as numerous friends and colleagues who took the time to spend with her.
Heather was a passionate and dedicated nurse throughout her 37 year career at Health Science Centre (D4). She loved her work and was awarded Nurse of the Year in 2006. Heather treated all patients like she would want to be treated. Heather loved all animals, but had a special place in her heart for her dogs Honey and Murphy. Heather also loved to travel and saw many parts of the world.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the caring medical staff at the Women's Centre (5th floor) who went above and beyond the call of duty to make Heathers stay as comforting as possible.
A Memorial Service in memory of Heather will be held on Tuesday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society
Heather rest well as you suffer no more.
