Obituary of Katherine BAULDIC
KATHERINE BAULDIC
Katherine was born on April 30, 1919 and passed away peacefully April 16, 2011.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Leopold Schoffner and Alex Bauldic; her son Edward Schoffner also her grandsons, Steven Schoffner and Gary Bergs.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Alois Schoffner (Marie), Marie Bergs (Andy), and daughter- in-law Kathy Schoffner, grand children Perry (Andrea), Irene (Keith), Melinda (Don), Robert (Marcia), Darlene, Joe (Flora), Andy Jr, Mark (Dorothy). She also had 11 great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews that will cherish her memory.
After the hardships of the war Katherine and family came to Canada in 1953. She finally settled in Winnipeg and worked in the garment industry for years, then worked for Sears warehouse until she retired in 1984.
Katherine enjoyed travelling, especially her visits to family in Canada and Europe. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and the St Joseph's Golden Age club. She loved to cook, bake, do crafts and take casual drives to the cottage.
We would like to say thank you to the Staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for the care they provided to Katherine.
Prayers will be said on Wednesday, April 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, April 21 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Mountain and Andrews. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
