Obituary of Jean BORYSOWICH
JEAN GANEFFA BORYSOWICH (PLESKECZ)
Peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2008, Jean passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ben in 2002. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Gloria Budakowski (Bob); sons Ron (Karen) and Brian; grandchildren, Daryl, Wesley, Amy, Dennis and Daniel. Jean was born in Brokenhead Municipality on December 15, 1922. She had three brothers and four sisters; John, Anton, Eddie, Carrie, Mary, Florence and Josie. Jean was a devoted wife, loving mother and wonderful grandmother. She loved gardening and spent many days out by the "power line" where her and Ben tilled and watered a large vegetable garden. Family and friends will miss her and will cherish many fond memories. Her children remember the great work ethic that she taught them. "If you're going to do something, do it right" was often encouraged. One of her great pleasures was cooking for the family. The family cherishes the memory of the great meals she would cook and family time spent enjoying them. She was always ready to help her family. If she babysat her grandchildren, you could count on all your laundry being done and a full meal on the table when you got home. Prayers will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Chapel with Rev. Fr. Volodymyr Bashutskyy officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
A Mother's Farewell to Her Children
When I must leave you for a little while, Please do not grieve and shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile: And for my sake and in my name, Live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near: And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky. "Rest in Peace"
