JACQUELINE V. COLEMAN-SAUNDERS
(nee LANE)
March 20, 1930-November 24, 2010
It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Jacqueline Saunders at Concordia Hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents Clayton and Jessie Lane; brothers Dwight, Eugene and John Lane; sisters Margaret Cooper, Juanita Watts, Thelma Carter, Lavas Lane and May Beth Murrell.
Jackie leaves to mourn her son Layne Coleman; brothers Terrance and Clayton Lane; sisters Louise Winn of Edmonton, Gerri Sylvia and Shirlee Upshaw of Winnipeg and Dollie Rainy of Kansas City, MO and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and the United States.
Jackie was the first black female bartender in Winnipeg, She enjoyed arts, crafts and quilting.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Bashir and the volunteer drivers of CancerCare Manitoba and the doctors, nurses and staff of Concordia Hospital for their kindness and support during Jackie's illness
At Jackie's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
Donations may be made in Jackie's memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
