MARY DIDICK Peacefully, on September 29, 2009, Mary Didick ( Nee Kulbaba) passed away at Luther Personal Care Home at 87 years of age. Mary was predeceased by her parents John and Theodora Kulbaba, her brother Peter Kulbaba, her sisters Irene Trochim and Anne Kulbaba and her daughter Carole Matheson ( Nee Didick). She will be sadly missed by her sisters Olga (Leonard) and Tinnie(John), her son Norman (Audrey), her grandchildren Jayde, Grant, Bonnie and Tracey , her great grandchildren and her niece Arlene and other nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Sand Hill Manitoba on October 15, 1921. Mary always spoke of her fond memories of growing up at the farm, spending time with horses Billy and Sugar and being with family. Mary worked at Robinson & Little until her retirement. After her retirement Mary enjoyed numerous vacations with family and friends and enjoyed visiting such places as Hawaii and Las Vegas. She also enjoyed seeing one of her favourites, Kenny Rogers, in concert which she saw on more than one occasion. She enjoyed spending much time with her brother Peter at the Sir Sam Steele Legion and favoured their outings on the Paddle Wheel Queen. Her favourite pastime was Bingo, which she played often. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the nurses and staff at Luther Home for all of the care and concern they provided for Mary in her last few years. Thank you for making her comfortable, all of your compassion and the support you provided to the family. All of your effort was greatly appreciated. A celebration of her life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main Street on Friday October 2, 2009 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Winnipeg.
