Obituary of HARRY KUSHNIR
Harry Kushnir (Hryhory Kusznier)
January 30, 1917 – January 12, 2012
Peacefully with his family at his side, Dad fell asleep in death at the age of 94.
Dad will be sadly missed by his two daughters and their families. Irene and husband Gary Fridfinnson, grandson Randy Fridfinnson, granddaughter Melody Fridfinnson and husband Richard Brisebois, great granddaughter Keanna. Edna Sopiwnyk, granddaughter Cayna-Lee and husband Chris Yarema, great grandchildren Marcus and Lauren.
Dad was predeceased by his wife Rose and son-in-law Jerry Sopiwnyk
Dad was born and raised in Fraserwood, MB. On November 1, 1939, Dad married Mom (Rose Krochenski) and later moved to Silver, then Winnipeg in 1956. Dad worked in the plumbing and heating industry in Winnipeg.
Since 1945, Dad was an active witness of Jehovah God and eagerly shared his faith with others. He looked forward to the coming paradise under God’s Kingdom where "sickness and death" will be no more as promised in Rev. 21:3, 4.
The family would like to thank all those who visited Dad during his illness, along with the Doctors, nurses and staff at Riverview Health Centre (Palliative Care).
On Saturday January 21 at 2pm, a Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 937 Gateway Road, Winnipeg, MB.
