Obituary of William HIRCHAK
WILLIAM (BILL) HIRCHAK
Surrounded by his loving family our father, grandfather and great grandfather William (Bill) Hirchak peacefully passed away on March 22, 2011.
Our Dad will be deeply missed by his children Sandra (Mark) Shuster, Darlene (Peter) Bodnar, and Patti-Lyn Kafka. Also left to cherish his memory are his four grandchildren and two great granddaughters: Nidene (Brian) Johnson, Kayla Shuster, Jennifer and Brendan Kafka, Victoria and Brianna Johnson.
Bill and his twin brother, John, were born in Winnipeg on November 29, 1927 to Alexander and Rose (nee Polanski). Dad began his plumbing apprenticeship when he was sixteen years old. He joined The Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 254 in 1953 as a journeyman and remained a member until his death.
Dad married the love of his life Stephanie (nee Tracy) on June 10, 1950 and together they lovingly raised "the girls". Our parents instilled in us the importance of hard work, strong character, integrity and love of family. Our Dad was proud of each and everyone of us and took every opportunity to tell us so.
We would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospice for their wonderful care, love, and support during this difficult time.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Contributions may be made to the Grace Hospice Foundation, 260 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3R5.
