Obituary of Margaret Hirst

Margaret Rose Anna Hirst January 24, 1933-February 20, 2009 Peacefully on February 20, 2009 with family by her side, wife, mother and "Nanny", Margaret passed away at the age of 76. Mom was predeceased by her first husband Lloyd Clark, son Gordon Clark, great granddaughter Cora-Lynn, mother Marjorie, father Gerry and sister Edrienna. Margaret is survived by her husband Ewart Hirst, son George Clark (Susan Fyfe), daughters Arlene (Eric) Abrey, Margaret (Brian) Flamand, Karen (Syd) Church, Penny (Alex) Chernetski, and daughter-in-law Sandra Clark. Nanny will be missed by her 12 grandchildren Sherri (Pasqualie), Brian (Jackie), Kimberley, Conan (Laura), Warren (Linli), David, Daniel, Michael (Amanda), Anthony (Kaylee), Rhianna, Lyndsay and Rebecca; 8 great-grandchildren Terri, Donovan, Karma, Matteo, Adamo, Gracie, Leigha and Nevaeh. Mom also leaves behind numerous relatives and friends. Mom enjoyed life, spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She was a generous person who never minded giving up her time for friends or helping in community events. She will be sadly missed. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 26th 2009, 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A private interment will take place. Our family would like to thank the nursing staff GD-4 and GD-5 at Health Sciences Centre for the compassionate care Mom received. Flowers are gratefully declined, should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Margaret's name to the charity of your choice.
