Obituary of Luba Holdnick
Luba "Lovey" Holdnick
(May 15, 1919 - June 8, 2010)
Peacefully went to sleep with the angels after a long life at the age of 91.
She was a beautiful Mother, Sister, Daughter, Grandmother and Friend. Her positive attitude changed the way people looked at the world. She loved to be around people and enjoyed a conversation with almost anyone. Her giant loving heart was always open to helping anyone in need from a friend to a stranger.
She had a gift of telling stories and forgetting details so it was always entertaining trying to fill in the blanks. This is probably due to the fact that she was interested in everything from soup to nuts and she was a sponge for any information. In her last few days she shared inspiring stories of family and friends. She was grateful for everyone in her life and the lessons they taught her.
We would like to thank all the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for making her short stay there a beautiful one. We would also like to thank all her friends and family for showering her with love.
We are going to respect Lovey's wishes and hold a small service with immediate family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Grandma, thank you for making us better people and making the world a better place. You taught us to love, trust, be kind and be positive. We love you and we will miss you.
