Obituary of Lena HRETZAY

LENA HRETZAY Peacefully on August 4, 2011 at her residence, our beloved mother passed on to be with the Lord. Lena leaves behind her sons Eugene, Elmer and Andrew; grandchildren Robyn, Lindsay and Steven and her sister Nettie Kyliuk. She was predeceased by her parents William and Ann; sisters Mary, Ann, Dora, Olga, Irene, Rose and brother Metro. Lena was born in Horodenka, Western Ukraine on April 16, 1912. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1928. She married Nicholas in 1942. Mom was a longtime member of Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, past member of the Shevchenko, Millennium, Parish Choirs. She was also a member of various seniors clubs. Special thanks to Dr. Clement Yeung for his care. Prayers will be said on Monday, August 8 at 8:00 p.m., Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m., Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, corner of Munroe and Watt with Rev. Dr. Michael Kwiatkowski officiating.
