Obituary of MARIA RAROG
MARIA RAROG
June 15, 1947 – January 26, 2012.
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mom and babcia, with her family by her side, after a short but courageous battle.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Marcus (Chrissy), Margaret (Terry), Dan, her beloved grandchildren Kaitlyn and Bradley, which were her pride and joy.
She will also be remembered by her sisters Irena Sabat and Jozefa Bury; brothers Marian Bacza, Jozef Bacza, Stanislaw Bacza and their families; sister-in-law Krystyna Wuj and her family; nephew Piotr (Klaudia and Amanda) Bury from New Jersey, special friends Otto and Monica Mehl and many family and friends in Poland and Winnipeg.
She was predeceased by her husband Wojciech, father Jan and mother Katarzyna.
Mom will be remembered for her sweet and gentle spirit. She was loving and kind, a wonderful cook, baker and gardener. She enjoyed blueberry and strawberry picking. She had a sense of humour, was generous, graceful, respectful and never complaining or finding fault with others. She was a warm and loving woman and passionately devoted to her family.
Thank-you mom for always being there for us. We will cherish all the memories and miss you every day.
We will miss you Babcia. Thank-you for the sleepovers, home cooking and for spending time with us. XOXOXO
God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be. So He closed his arms around you and whispered come to me . You didn't deserve what you went through, so He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. And when we saw you sleeping so peaceful and free from pain, we could not wish you back to suffer that again.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 30 at 10:00 a.m. with Holy Rosary commencing at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery and reception at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church (lower level). Pallbearers: John Rarog, Ted Rarog, Marian Porczek, Mietek Porczek, Heronin Dyrkacz and Mark Wojcik.
Our family would like to thank in advance all those who are able to attend the service and all the support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in mom’s memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9.
