RUSSELL HUCHENSKI
Peacefully at home, as the Lord embraces and comforts him, we announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather and great grandfather on January 25, 2009 at the age of 86. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Sharon (Tom), JoAnn (Niels), Susan (Greg) and Polly (Brian); 8 grandchildren Debbie (Rob), Tom, Jennifer (Marc), Jeff (Kassie), Jayson (Destiny), Tyson, Brandy (Shaun), Lindsay and 10 great-grandchildren Josh, Sarah, Logan, Tyler, Emily, Alec, Lauryn, Kyle, Corey, Vernon; also sister Helen (Joe) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years Ernestine in 2006 and by his parents Mary and Felix and brother Stanley. Russell was born in Szydlowce, Poland and came to Canada in 1926 settling in Port Arthur, Ontario. In 1965 he moved his family to Winnipeg where he made many friends over the years. His favorite pastime was spent with his family and golfing especially with his girls. A Mass of Christian Burial is being celebrated on Monday, February 2 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe and Brazier, with Rev. Fr. L�o Couture as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russell's name to a charity of your choice.
