Heartfelt condolences to the family. My memories of Mrs. Jakul are through the eyes of a child. She welcomed youngsters into her home, her backyard, and and into her family. She endured our many long hours of Parchesi, Canasta, and Monopoly played at the kitchen table. She tolerated the sounds of children's feet racing up that wonderful staircase, although we heard occaisional "No Running" sighs from below. It was easy being a child in such a child friendly home. I loved the clean sleek lines of the modern livingroom. And the large productive kitchen. And I loved the Peonies in spring and and the crabapple tree in summer. I was always taken by how beautifully Mrs. Jakul was always dressed. She wore her elegance with style and with flare. She had a ready smile and hearty laugh. She was impressive, and a strong and powerful role model for children. I give thanks for all the happy hours spent in the Jakul home. I am happy knowing she enjoyed so many wonderful years travelling and enjoying life with her friends and large family. Special blessings go to you, Mr. Jakul.
