Obituary of Erika Jeromin
ERIKA JEROMIN
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Erika Jeromin on November 15, 2009.
Born in Giesen, Germany, Erika spent her early years there until 1954, when the Klotz Family immigrated to Canada.
In 1957, she met Manfred on a sunny Sunday at Grand Beach. One year later they were married. They were blessed with two children and two grandchildren. Erika and Manfred operated two beauty salons (Airlies Beauty Salon and Jermins Beauty Bar). Many friendships were made at the shops.
Erika loved to travel, and together they enjoyed many trips to Hawaii, Europe, Florida, California and Las Vegas.
Erika was a long-time member of the German Society and enjoyed forty plus years of summers at Camp Neustadt with her family, especially time spent with her precious grandchildren.
Erika was predeceased by her parents Frieda and Adolf Klotz. She will be sadly missed by her husband of fifty-one years Manfred, her daughter Sylvia (Scott), son Perry (Ellen), grandchildren Kyla and Tyler, brother Ludy (Lorna), sisters Helga (Erik) and Hilde. Also many cousins, nieces and nephews across Canada and the U.S. She will also be missed by her best friend Trudy, her "Bingo Buddy" Shirley, and the Camp Neustadt gang.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
