John Joss
October 21, 1949-December 14, 2010
With his family by his side, John Joss, our beloved Husband, Father, Son, Papa, Brother, Uncle, and Friend passed away.
John leaves to mourn his wife of 32 years Linda, his children Jackie and Jill, and his grandson Christopher. Also left to mourn is his mother Eugenia, brothers Jim, Dave (Carol), and Bob (Brenda), as well as nieces Tammy, Ginelle and nephews Dean and Wesley, his in-laws Elsie, Allan, Ron (Jerry), and Wilf Hadfield. He also leaves behind his best friend Jim (Linda) Ramsay and many, friends.
John was predeceased by his father Nicholas Joss and mother-in-law Perle Hadfield.
John was born and raised with Elmwood pride, he attended Elmwood High School. He was an avid sports fan, and he loved hockey, curling, baseball, football, lacrosse, and especially golf! He continued his love of sports, by coaching his daughters baseball teams, and absolutely loved watching and teaching his grandson Christopher, the apple of his eye, play football. John and his compadre Christopher, spent countless hours and phone calls playing the football pool.
John enjoyed being outside, enjoying the sunshine and the fresh air. He enjoyed going to Palm Springs with his wife and friends.
He spent thirty-six years at Manitoba Hydro, where he made many friends.
He will be truly missed, and always loved and remembered by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11:00 am at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be sent to the Christmas Cheer Board.
