Jean was born on September 12, 1922 in Pine Ridge Manitoba on her parents homestead. She moved to Winnipeg with her parents at an early age where she then attended Isaac Newton School and later on Success Business College.
In 1942 she married Bruce Keeler and the two of them made a home where they lovingly raised their three children. Bruce and Jean were married for 62 years before Bruce's passing in 2005. Jean was a devoted mother and wife. She dedicated her life to her family. She was known for her ability to remember everyone's birthdays and anniversaries, and she was always interested in other people's families.
