Obituary of Mathew KELICH

Mathew Kelich Peacefully on January 25, 2010 at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, our dearly beloved father and father-in-law, passed away at the age of 93 years. He will be greatly missed by his son Ron, daughter Sharon and son-in-law Reg. Mathew was predeceased by his beloved wife Olga (Ollie) in 1972. He was the last of a family of four children, brothers Harry and Michael (Mitch) and sister Mary Koskey. Dad's many years of retirement consisted of volunteer work, travel, golf and bowling. He was a devout member of St. John Brebeuf Parish for 45 years. He was also an honorary life member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Dad was always there to love and support his children, his siblings and their families. He will be remembered for his generous nature, winning smile and gentlemanly charm. He will be in our thoughts and prayers always. Prayers will be said on Thursday evening, January 28th (Mother's Birthday) at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place with Reverend Father Joseph Newman, S.J. officiating. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Convalescent Home for their excellent care of Mathew over the past 6 years. Special thanks to the staff on the second and fourth floors for their compassion and care.
