Obituary of Konrad Kijanko
KONRAD KIJANKO
On Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Parkview Place, Konrad Kijanko, beloved husband of Sophie, passed away at the age of 88 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Konrad was born in Poland on February 10, 1922 and was a member of the Polish army and engaged in the battle known as the Italian Campaign. He immigrated to Canada in 1946 and upon his arrival he began employment as a mechanic and worked until his retirement at Canadian Tire. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Polish Br. #246.
Service will be held on Tuesday, October 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Reception to follow interment at the Royal Canadian Legion, Polish Br. #246, 1335 Main St.
