Obituary of Mary Kizuik
MARY KIZIUK
Peacefully, with her family at her side, we sadly announce the passing of Mary Kiziuk, at the Fred Douglas Lodge on December 5, 2010 at the age of 89 years.
Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter Elsie (Larry), two granddaughters Janet (Colin) and Diana (Richard) and by their father Harry, and by great-grandchildren Evan, Cory, Rylan and Jamie.
Mary was predeceased by her parents Michael and Efimia Weremchuk, seven brothers and three sisters and by her first husband Theodore Wlad and by her second husband Morris Kiziuk.
She was born on June 10, 1921 in Wolyn, Poland and came to Canada in September 1938. Mary married her first love in February 1942, settling in Gardenton, MB. and later moving to St. Jean, MB. Following his passing in 1965, Mary married Morris Kiziuk in July of 1966 and continued to reside in St. Jean.
Mary was a homemaker, always putting her family first. She took great pride in her garden and enjoyed summer months outdoors. She enjoyed get togethers with family and friends. She was a much loved mother, grandma and great-grandma.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the wonderful caring staff at Fred Douglas Lodge.
In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 10, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
