Obituary of Victor Kolabinski
Victor Kolabinski
Victor passed away suddenly on March 25, 2011, at the Health Science Centre at the age of 81 years. Besides, his wife Betsy, he is survived by step-daughters, Eugenia, Karen (Jim), Ellen, and Patricia (Dean), and grandchildren Katherine, Michael, Steven, and Natalie.
He also leaves to mourn his passing, a sister, Helen (Henry) Oshust and four nieces and one nephew.
He was predeceased by parents, John and Lena and one brother Jerry.
After completion of grade 12, Victor entered the RCAF from 1949 - 1954. He worked for 32 years in Forestry with the Federal Government. He married Betsy in 1989. During their 22 years of marriage, they shared a retirement place in Sandy Lake, spending summers commuting between Sandy Lake and Winnipeg until his passing.
The family would like to thank the W.F.P.D. for their efforts.
Prayers will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Sandy Lake, MB, on Monday, April 4, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
If friends so desire, contributions may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
