Obituary of Maria Korba

MARIA KORBA March 19, 1920 - March 28, 2011 Peacefully, on Monday, Maria passed away at St. Joseph's Residence at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Bronislaw in 2005. Maria will be sadly missed by her nieces Danuta Szwarc (Stan) and Angela Lipinski (Matthew) and many other relatives in Canada, USA and Poland. Maria came to Canada in 1965 and married Bronislaw and together they farmed in Paswegin, SK. She enjoyed farming, gardening and cooking for family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Residence for all their care and compassion. Rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 30 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church with an Oblate Father officiating.
