Obituary of Stefania KOZAK
STEFANIA KOZAK November 25, 1925 - November 24, 2009
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Stefania Kozak. She passed away peacefully on November 24, 2009 at the Seven Oaks Hospital with her family by her side.
Stefania leaves to mourn her son Jerry (Arline); daughters Olga (Dennis) and Lucy; grandchildren Chris (Dana), Jennifer (James), Kristen and Steven; great grandchildren Bradley, Madison, Brooke and Jessica; also close nephew and niece Steve (Gwen) and Lorette (Norbert) as well as numerous relatives in the Ukraine. She will also be greatly missed by her friends and neighbours.
She was predeceased by her husband Dmytro in 2000.
Stefania was born in the village of V. Lazychyn, Ukraine on November 25, 1925 and came to Canada in 1949. She worked at Old Country Sausage Co. for 34 years. She was an active and devoted member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church. She enjoyed her garden and flowers and cooking for those special family occasions.
Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her immense joy and she loved talking about them with her friends. She even enjoyed taking about her grand dogs. We will miss her special sayings and poems that she would say at any opportunity. We will miss her generous and kind spirit.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the Seven Oaks Hospital for their special care in her final hours. Our thanks go out to all our friends who have given support at this difficult time.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, November 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Avenue. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery.
