Obituary of Henry KRASOWSKI

HENRY KRASOWSKI It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Krasowski on March 30, 2010 at Concordia Hospital. Left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 54 years Eva; son Victor (Sandi) Krasowski; daughter Mary Ann Krasowski; grandchildren Jordan and Hayley; and brother Stanley and family in Poland. He was born on a train near Lipno, Poland on August 10, 1920. He immigrated to Canada in 1947 after serving in the Polish Army and the 2nd Polish Corps, 4th Polish Armoured Regiment (Skorpion) that served with the 8th British Army. In Canada he married Eva Matz in 1955, had 2 children and he worked for Lighting Materials Ltd, CAE Aircraft retiring from Flyer Industries in 1985. Henry had many interests including music, playing the mandolin, participating in the Holy Ghost Church Choir, the Polish Sokol Choir and various singing groups. He was a member the Polish Combatants' Association Branch#13. The family wishes to express thanks to W.R.H.A Home Care staff that helped keep Henry home as long as possible. Special thanks also to the 3rd floor staff at Concordia Place and the Concordia Hospital E.R. and N3W staff. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 5th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe and Brazier with Rev. Fr. Janusz Maron, O.F.M., Cap. officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery and with a reception at St. Alphonsus Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
