It is with deep sorrow, after a struggle with cancer that the family announces the passing of Barbara Carol Elizabeth Kemash on Saturday January 28th, 2012 in Edmonton, Alberta with her children by her side, at the age of 60 years old. Mom will be reunited with her husband Peter.
Left to forever cherish her memory are her children: daughter Bonnie (Dennis), and son Keith (Roberta); grandchildren Joshua and Natasha; mother Sarah; brothers and sisters Frances (Jerry), Mickey (Lorraine), Delbert, Judy ( Steini), Lynne( Florent); in laws; as well as many numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 23 years, Peter and father Melville.
Mom was born in Winnipeg on October 16th, 1951 and was raised in Eddystone, Manitoba. She married Peter on March 13th, 1976 and started their life together raising their 2 children in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She spent her life working hard at various different jobs. She spent the major part of her earlier life working for Duffy's Taxi as an owner/operator. During that time her passions were gardening, camping and playing cards with friends and family. She then moved on to working as a child care worker for the later part of her years. She met many people throughout the years while working whom she kept close relationships with until this present day. In the later part of her years she enjoyed spending time entertaining friends at her home, learning new culinary skills, going for coffee and spending time at the parks.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph Auxiliary Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta for the patient and kind care they delivered to our mother everyday she spent there until her last days.
Those of you who knew Barbara will miss her, especially those she considered her special friends.
Mom, we know that you are not suffering anymore and take comfort that you are with family and friends again. We will miss you always and know that we will meet again.
