Obituary of Allan KUBAS
ALLAN KUBAS
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Allan Kubas on October 16, 2008 at the Concordia Hospital. Allan had just celebrated his 66 birthday. He was born on October 7, 1942 in Winnipeg.
Allan grew up in Broadvalley, MB. He met the love of his life Rose (Brasseur) in 1960 when he moved to the big city of Winnipeg. They got married on July 27, 1963 and immediately started a family with their first-born son Lonny. 11 years following, they were graced with having a loving daughter named Sheryl.
At a young age Allan was a entrepreneur with the purchase of cement mixers and worked for Building Products. In 1970 Allan and Rose purchased the Semple IGA store where they took great pride in serving the community for 11 years. After taking some time off he continued his journey where he became the meat manager at Maples IGA. He later moved to Oakbank Family Fare where he retired in December 2007.
Allan loved spending time at their cabin in Brewster Bay, travelling with their motorhome and their hot winter vacations. Currently residing in East St. Paul where they found the perfect balance between country and city living. He took great pride in keeping up his beautiful yard and home. Allan was driven to work hard and provide a great life for his entire family and for that we are truly grateful.
Allan will be so greatly missed by his loving wife Rose, son Lonny (JoAnn), daughter Sheryl (Lendor), grandchildren Ryan, Jarred, Cody & Owen.
Allan was predeceased by his mother and father, Matrona and John, brother Peter, sister Mary and brother Mike. Left to mourn is his sister Anne, brother Myrs (Mary), sister Cecilia (Eddy), sister-in-law Emily (Pete), brother-in-law Julius (Ann) and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Al, you will be in my heart forever, I love you-love your wife. Papa, we love you and will miss spending time with you and our tractor rides-love Cody & Owen. Daddy, I love you and will miss you so much R.I.P.-love Sheryl & Lendor. Grandpa, we will always miss and will love you forever-from Ryan & Jarred. Dad, we love you. You are my leader and will be missed so very much-love Lonny & JoAnn.
The family would like to thank the paramedics, emergency staff and Concordia Hospital for all their efforts. A very special thank you goes out to Bill and Patti for their help and for being there.
