Obituary of Stella MACKINNON
STELLA MACKINNON (Stefanyshyn)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Stella MacKinnon on April 28, 2008 at the Seven Oaks Hospital.
Stella was born in Hadashville, MB on October 5, 1930. She moved to Winnipeg to seek employment. Five years later she moved to Toronto, ON, where she worked in various food industries also at the School Day Care Centre, up until her health started to fail her. Three years ago she returned to Winnipeg.
Stella enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Brooke and her family. She loved to swim, bike ride, cake decorating and shopping.
Stella was predeceased by her granddaughter Brianne, husband Louis, father Daniel, mother Mary, brother at infancy, two brothers Dan and Michael.
Stella is survived by her son Lloyd, daughter Marilyn, granddaughter Brooke MacKinnon; sisters Anne (Bill) Zinyk, Nellie Krisko, Carol (Walter) Henzel, Veronica (Al) Drul, brother Tony (Jean) Stefanyshyn; sister-in-law Marge Stefanyshyn, numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends from Toronto, Erna, Doreen and Stella.
Funeral Service will be held for Stella on May 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Henzel, Richard Henzel, Brian Zinyk, Rodger Gray, Ron Krisko and William Zinyk Jr.
The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, Unit 7 and Unit 1 for the excellent care Stella received.
