Dad started his life in Canada as a post war immigrant settling temporarily in Yorkton, Saskatchewan where his met his future wife Genevieve Lis. Victor and Genevieve settled in Winnipeg for the remainder of their married years living mostly on Redwood Avenue in the North End of Winnipeg. He worked for Abitibi Pulp and Paper Mill for many years as a lumberjack and heavy equipment operator. He retired in 1988. Dad's remaining years were spent living at the Canadian Polish Manor. Dad was predeceased by our mother Genevieve in 1999. Our dad will be remembered for his wry sense of humour, generosity, fierce sense of independence and his love of life and a good card game. Many sincere thanks to the staff on the 5th floor, Unit 7 at Seven Oaks Hospital for their patience and care of our father during a very challenging time.
