Obituary of Shirley Mcgill (Rudnicki)
With great sadness after a courageous battle with cancer and diabetes, our family announces the passing of Shirley Marlaine McGill.
Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her husband and friend Robert, sons Christian and Garett (Linda), granddaughters Katelyn and Holly, brothers Doug (Eileen), John (Christine), brothers-in-law Rick (Christine), Rory (Sharon) and sister-in-law Heather as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Shirley was predeceased by her father John, mother Mary, father-in-law Carman and mother-in-law Audrey.
Shirley was born in Winnipeg and graduated Nursing in 1964 and retired in January, 2011. Shirley had a very active life with her career and family. She loved to work in her garden in Winnipeg and at her cottage in Grand Beach. Her favorite project was her two granddaughters, Katelyn and Holly.
At Shirley's request, there will be no funeral. Anyone wishing to pay their last respects may do so at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Thursday, June 9, 2011, from 6-8:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank cousin and friend Gail and niece Raylene for their help and special care when Shirley was so ill. We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at HSC, 4D for all their help and care.
