Obituary of WILLIAM “ZEKE MANDZUK
WILLIAM MANDZUK
It is with deep sadness that the family of William Mandzuk (Zeke) announce his passing on Sunday February 19, 2012.
He is survived and sadly missed by his sons Geoffrey (Susan) and Matthew (Angela), sisters Anne Bruce and Mary Luddick and their families, and numerous nieces and nephews.
William was predeceased by his wife Doreen and parents Michael and Kathleen and his brother John.
William was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the Weston and Brooklands area where he met his future wife Doreen Beall as a young person. He began and worked almost his entire working life for Perth’s Dry Cleaners first as a driver and later having his own store in East Kildonan. He curled actively with the Drake Curling Club and was an executive member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for many years. Once retired, he and Doreen resided at their Cabin in Winnipeg Beach, and after Doreen passed he continued to reside in the area that had given them much joy along with his companion and friend, Sydney the dog. Moving later to a seniors apartment block in the same area.
He will be sadly missed by friends, family and golf partners.
The service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers friends are encouraged to make a donation to the charity of their choice.
